Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My boyfriend was arrested for a warrant for contempt of court for child support for the second time, he got behind when his other kids mom abandoned them. He was a single father with 3 kids. Is there any way with a lawyer he can possibly get out?

Maybe. Since he has been jailed for contempt, the court should appoint an attorney to represent him. These attorneys are well-versed in the law for this type of problem, but are usually handling a large volume of cases. If you can afford to hire a lawyer, then do so, but only if you will also have funds to pay towards the arrearage. Appointed or retained, an attorney will tell you that often his best defense (in addition to a downward modification) is to make a payment on the arrearages.
