Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

If my boyfriend and I live together in a 1 bedroom apartment, is it illegal for his 2 kids to visit overnight and sleep in the living room on the sofabed? He has them on Tues, Thurs and every other weekend. We plan on buying a house in 3 months when our lease runs out.

It's not illegal in the sense that it violates any law. However, his divorce decree (if he's divorced) or other orders pertaining to the children may specify what kinds of accomodations the children are supposed to have and may also prohibit him from having a girlfriend around when he has the children. I would review any existing order carefully.
