Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My boyfriend and I have been living together for over 1 year now. We have a baby and one on the way. However, my boyfriend is still married (separated of course) and is in the process of trying to get a divorce. We have filled out the paperwork for an uncontested divorce, but we wanted to know if it would be better to get a lawyer since he has already started a new family? Will our children be taken into consideration when determining child support for his 2 children from his marriage (in an uncontested divorce and/or in a contested divorce)? Neither route is easy, but what would be easiest, to have a lawyers assistance or do-it-yourself divorce???
Thank you.

Please hire an attorney.
Please do not buy paperwork from an company out of state from an ad on t.v. or radio. Definately do not by paperwork from an office supply store! These places don't sell you the REQUIRED state & local forms that you are going to need along with the child support forms -- so you don't have everything you need!
Just get an attorney & do it right the first time.
Yes your new kids count in the child support calculations!
