Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

If my boyfriend is on probation for family violence and he's been doing good on his probation and staying out of trouble for a bit longer than a year now. But on New Years he went in again for family violence and evading arrest they let him out the next day and he just received a letter saying this is a serious matter and that he should get an attorney. Will he be doing time in jail when he goes to the court date they set him?

They could revoke his probation and put him in jail or they could extend his probation. The letter is correct, this is a serious matter and he needs to hire a good criminal defense attorney. (And you need a new boyfriend.)
