Unfortunately, I can't really answer that question. If you both agree, it is easy. If you don't agree it could be difficult.

If you want a consultation to discuss, I charge $2 per minute.

It might be worth the fee now to learn your options while you are together-- in case you break up later.

It might save you a lot of money (and heart-ache) later!

You need to recognize that even if you break-up, you will co-parent this child the rest of your lives & I encourage people to work together -- it saves money and it really helps the kid! (I did it and my kid is now grown and she really thanks both of us for working as a team!)

Call me at 713-847-6000 to schedule an appointment.

My email is [email protected]

With such a small baby, you need to know your legal rights!

Knowledge is power!

If you have an existing paternity decree issued out of Harris County, it would be difficult to move to Austin unless you both agree. Then of course, you can come back to Houston by agreement. If a paternity action is brought in Austin, then it may be very difficult for you to return to Houston with the child. If you want to reside in Austin, you will need 90 days in that county with the child. Otherwise, he might try to allege that Harris County is the appropriate venue. It's really hard to say unless we meet and discuss exactly what the plans are between you two. You can call me at (713) 681-1300 and discuss it further.
