Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My boyfriend and his ex wife signed a Rule 11 in Rockwall,Tx. His lawyers drew up the papers. She tried to back out days after she put down her signature. The judge ordered the Rule 11 in my boyfriend's favor.

Two months later, she (ex wife) has hired two lawyers and her lawyers say that the Rule 11 cannot be ordered if there was no mediator (which there wasn't).

His lawyer was told by some colleagues that a mediator need not be involved if both parties had signed the Rule 11. She is searching for the answer.

Is there any clear answer to the Rule 11 that a mediator was to have been present? Is this information his lawyer should have known?

One can enter into a binding Rule 11 agreement without the involvement of a mediator. Suggestion: Read Rule 11:
