Broken off Engagement

If my fiance broke off the Engagement, told me I could keep the ring, then changed his mind. Am I legally allowed to keep this ring?

The ring was a gift based on your agreement to marry him. If he is the one who breaks off the engagement then traditionally you get to keep the ring; if you break it off, you give the ring back. In this day and age it's not as clear cut as that. He can try to sue you to get it back and the outcome depends on lots of different factors. Maybe you get to keep it, maybe the Court decides he should get it back. Either way you're out time and money.
