Trying to buy her out of house

My husband's ex from 3 years ago still is part owner of our house. She is entitled to half of equity when sells. Has been on market three years and not sold. We keep trying to buy her out and she will not accept. She keep saying our house will go to auction and keep trying to blackmail us trying to keep my husband to pay for more of her debt! We are not behind on mortgage and are offering her what realtor is asking for house. What are our options? We want to keep house due to only home their kids have known.Do we go to court and what are chances judge would let us keep house?

My - it sounds as though you live in a house that you do not want sold. It is no suprise to me that it has not sold after 3 years. 3 years is an interesting time frame. I would need to talk to you to come up with ideas because I would need many details to formulate an approach but there are several interesting possibilities.
