Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

California dreaming

My daughter wants a divorce. She and her husband have a second home in California because their sons are actors and must reside there while working. My son-in-law is in realty in Texas. They bought the house in California with the childrens money but in son-in-laws name. They can't sell the house for 2 years due to some California law. Their house in Texas is going up for sale. Son-in-law has threatned that if daughter leaves, she will be in trouble for living on childrens money. She manages children and they have huge savings that cant be touched. House payments in California are being made with childs earnings, as well as utilities, food and living expenses. Are there laws being broken? What will happen to house and living if divorce? Will son-in-law still be required to pay child support even though child makes huge amount of money?

Re: California dreaming

i don't know the laws in CA for child actor's income and assets. You should consult with an CA attorney. The fact that the child has income is not a factor in child support - the obligor pays on the basis of his net available resources.
