Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Cases Won by Non-Parent

I am trying to search for any cases/hearings that were won by Non-parent vs. Grandparent/Parent regarding custody of children. Family has a history of child abuse/neglect/abandonment. Children were abandoned with me for over 2 years and court gave them back because I was not kin. My case is in appeals. Do you know of any such cases?

This case is not directly on point, but practically speaking it appears that the foster parents eventually won.
