Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Cell phone record access by spouse

My cell phone is under my husband's acct. He no longer has a phone on this acct. He has filed for divorce and we are no longer living together. Should I stop using this phone and stop paying this bill (the contract is not yet expired) and get another phone with another wireless service? And, will he have access to all the phone records for the last 3 months that we have been seperated?

Try to have the phone transferred to your name. He should have access to the records if the phone is under his name.

The phone belongs to him so, of course, he'd be able to get anything he wants on his account.

I'd return the phone to him certified mail and insured.

I would make sure that your name is NOT on his account.
