Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Name Change

Just want to know what my chances are in changing my daughters last name to my married name; their bio dad never been around; did not sign birth certificate or ever met them at all. The man I'm married to is all they have ever know since they daughters were 2 and 4 months old. We cant afford adoption right now but name change we could.....I know I would need contact a attorney and all that, but what are my chances in getting this done. Any advice would help. Thanks V

Probably reasonable. You will have to notice him of the petition, but if he has not been interested before, he may not care now.
