Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
change to child custody
My fiance has a 6 year old son and is the noncustodial parent. His ex-wife lives in the subdivision next to ours (around 1 mile door to door). How difficult would it be to change the custody to joint, and what steps would need to be taken?

Custody is a complicated issue in family law matters. Your fiancee needs to consult with an attorney. He should take all of his prior pleadings and orders to the consultation, so that the attorney can make a fair assessment of his options.
