Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Change of child residence other parent
My daughter, 17, and her mother decided that she should go to school and live with me. I have had problems with ex-wife on returning child support, which is deducted from my paycheck. What do I have to do to get this deduction stopped.

You would need to modify the current custody.
I hope this is helpful to you.

Re: Change of child residence other parent
Your change in circumstances does not justify altering or canceling your child support obligation unless the court says it does. Parties (you and your wife) can't just agree to change a court's order. As much of a pain as it might be, you must return to court and have the court alter what it previously ordered. Get with your prior attorney (or a new one) and file an application with the court as soon as possible. Merry Christmas.
