Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

change custody

My ex and I have joint custody but he is primary conservator. He moved approx. 400 miles away, the kids are with me and have been for 9 months.(they have visited him twice) Our divorce decree states neither of us can move 100 miles away from our hometown. How can I change the decree so that I have sole custody?

Hire a good family law attorney and go back to Court. You may not have grounds for sole managing conservatorship, but it sounds like you have a good shot at being the parent who can designate residence.
