hello this is Parmalee Simmons. Well you said can you do it your self and you can but it got a big disadvantage to you cause he might have a lawyer and you will end up with the short end of it.

But if you hire a lawyer then it will make it 50% even so that you can sue him and get what you wont they most likely will help you than say no you can't sue him but i think that if you been waiting on child support for a year now they will agree with you about why he havent seaded any child support to you to take care of your kids and i think you should hire an attorney have him check it out why he havent sead you no chilld support yet and they will help you take him to court but if you have any more question just email me at [email protected] or at [email protected]

You will need to do what is called a "domestication" of the Texas order in Georgia in order to be able to enforce the order in Georgia. It is a relatively simple process, but I would suggest you use an attorney to do this as most people would not know how to do it properly with notice to the right people. Once you have domesticated the judgment, you can either use a private attorney to collect it or employ the state to do it.
