Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Name change on the property deed

My parents received a clear deed to their house about 20 years ago. My mother died in 1991 and my dad remarried in 2000. It seems that my step-mother is trying to get the name changed on the deed to the house from my mother's name to her name. My dad has made provisions for his new wife in his will regarding the house. Prior to his remarriage, my brother and I had to give approval for him to tie on to a water system. Can she change the name on the deed without our approval? If, in the event of my dad's death, is she the legal owner of the house and we no longer have any beneficiary rights?
