Change sons last name

I want to change my sons last name from his fathers. I want him to have my last name.

You will have to go to court to do this and notify the child's father to give him an opportunity to object. Why do you have to do this? Because it's the law and regardless of how bad a father he might be, he is still a parent. Good Luck.
