Change State Jurisdiction Custody Order to State Child Lives

Custody order was filed in California giving custody to Mother. Child and Mother moved to Texas 4 years ago. Non-custodial parent has not paid child support since. 13 year old Child does not want to see non-custodial parent. Non-custodial parent moving to Arizona and will not say where. How can I change the state jurisdiction to Texas so I can modify custody and support no matter what state the non-custodial parent lives in?

Once you have established residency in Texas, you can file the modification here, especially if the other party is also here.

Once the child has lived in Texas for six months you can register the order in Texas. If the father leaves CA, the state that issued the original decree, then and only then Texas can modifiy custody and support. If he enters Texas, so that we get jurisdiction over him, then we can also enforce the order here. If you live in the North Texas area, give me a call.
