Re: changing locks

Generally speaking, he has as much right to be in the house as you do, unless a court order says differently. Meaning, without a court order, you are wasting your money changing the locks. He might break a window to get in, and just cause more expense.

If he has been abusive, the ADA might be able to get you a protective order.

Talk to Legal Aid in your area, to see if you qualify for assistance.

You really need to talk to a good family law attorney in your area. You may also want to see if you can qualify for legal aid and get hep that way. Good luck.
