child wants to change name to the dad he has only known

my child is 7 and on his bc no father is listed,and he has my maiden name .i married and my son wants to have my husbends last name,because he is the only dad he has known for almost 6yrs. so how do i go about getting my son the last name he want?i was never married to his bio father and i have no clue where or if that would be his bio father. i don't know because he refused a dna testand i don;t think i can find him so please tell me what i can do to make my son happy.

Your present day husband will to adopt your son, and a formal termination of the unknown father's parental rights will be required.
