Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child in another city.

Hi. I am seeing a woman who lives in a different city. If I have a child with the woman who is married at this time with two girls and she divorces her husband. Can her husband prohibit her from moving from one city to another based on their children? or do we have some right, now that she is having my child, to move to the city where I live in?

Re: child in another city.

Certainly, the husband has a right to try to restrict the move of his children. If the woman wants to move with your child, I doubt there would be any restriction on her relocation.

I agree with Mr. Grissom, and want to add that the restriction normally reads that the children cannot be moved beyond the county, or a contiguous county, of the divorce.
