Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My child is a constant runaway, and doesn't listen or obey me. She is 16 years old and everytime she gets in trouble by the law, I'm the one who gets stuck with the consequences. Is there a way I can cut my ties from her and make her responsible for her actions. Is there a way for a parent to emancipate there child?

A parent cannot force an emancipation on a child.

You are legally responsible for her until she is 18 years old.

When she is 17, she is no longer considered a runaway, unless there are outstanding court orders restricting her residence and conduct.

You cannot cut ties, so you need to find a way to communicate with her in a way that is more productive. There are MANY resources available. Use ALL of them.
