Child Crossing State Lines

Can a mother take her child from Texas to California without the other parents permission? Mother and father are NOT married.

Is there a court order not allowing a parent to remove the child?

Are you talking about permanently moving or just a vacation?

Since mom and dad are not married, is dad even on the birth certificate?
