i'M A MATERNAL AUNT OF TWO CHILDREN i HAVE BEEN RAISING FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS i HAVE HAD ONE CHILD SINCE SHE WAS 18 MONTHS AND THER OTHER SINCE HE WAS THREE WEEKS OLD. tHE MOTHER MY SISTER IS A DRUG ADDICT AND HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING FOR THEM IN THE LAST THREE YEARS AND HAS SEEN THEM ABOUT TEN TIMES IN THREE YEARS. tHE FATHER IS AN ACHOLIC AND VIOLENT AND IS AWAITING TRIAL FOR AN ASSAULT ON HIS OWN MOTHER WHILE THE KIDS WERE VISITING HER HE WAS DRUNK AND TRYING TO TAKE THEM SO HE CHOKED HER IN FRONT OF THEM. i'M JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT IF ITS POSSIBLE TO GET LEGAL CUSTADY WITH SUPERVISED VISITATION. OR TO POSSIBLY HAVE THEIR RIGHTS TERMINATED.

Yes, you can and should file for managing conservatorship. You may be able to successfully terminate their rights as well. If you wish to email me directly, would be happy to discuss the process with you. It is complicated, but in the situation you describe, not impossible.
