Child Custodial Rights -- Victimized Divorcee of Atty -- HELP

Is there any legal recourse for those (ex was a lawyer) who have been diliberately mislead during divorce proceedings by ''ex, atty at law?'' I signed divorce papers giving ''managering conservatory'' rights to our son after being mislead that it there was no other option for me and that fighting it would cause a battle I was not willing to put either of our children through. He had convinced me that there was a very likely chance that he'd win anyway (I moved 300 miles away during our seperation to make a new start (and to avoid his mind games), but left both chldren there to avoid trama to them. My daughter from a previous marriage was in school and I wanted to wait until mid-term to change her school. According to him that relinquished my rights to our son so I didn't fight it since I trusted him completely. I was barely suriving and had NO WAY of providing legal repesentation for myself (didn't know about legal aide - thought free attys were criminal court appt'd.)

You've made a lot of mistakes and wrong assumptions. Further, I doubt that legal aid would have helped you. If you failed to get legal advice during your divorce, you were definitely taken advantage of, but it would be greatly expensive to correct those mistake now. I doubt that you could find a lawyer to take this case for less than $20,000 retainer. Your talking about a protracted legal battle.
