Child custody appeal

Father got custody,but he has several family violence charges against him One is pending, Mother has no record. How can we get this appealed to correct this.

Where was this evidence when the judge made the decision. If this evidence was available but not presented when the hearing was held, then you might not have an appeal. Now might be a good time to spend the money and talk to a lawyer. Things couldn't be much worse.
