Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child custody arrangements

My ex and I signed and agreed in our decree that our son would be raised in my faith which included having my son with me for church every Sunday. This has been in effect for nearly seven years. Now he tells me that he's found religion and wants to take him to his church on his weekends and not allow me take him to mine as well. Is there anything I can do? I can't afford a lawyer. Can our agreement be enforced? If he decides to get a lawyer will I have any shot of keeping things the way they are now? I have always been very accomodating of my ex, allowing him to change his visitation days when needed, allowing extra time, etc. I feel like b/c I can't get a lawyer he'll always get whatever he wants.

Re: Child custody arrangements

Are you sure you can't get a lawyer? Many good lawyers will work with you on a payment plan. Yes your decree can be enforced, but you really need a lawyer to assist you, in order to be successful.
