Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Custody

My daughter's father is a drug addict and poses a threat to her. He has legal visitation rights, but has threatened to keep her if I do not do what he says.

I don't have the money to have the custody agreement changed. What can I do?

Re: Child Custody

If you believe that your child is in imminent harm, you should contact the police.

Furthermore, it would be a good idea for you to contact your local legal aid organization to find out if you may be eligible for free legal assistance. I believe the closest legal aid organization to you is Legal Aid of Northwest Texas. A quick Google search should get you their telephone number.
