Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Child Custody / Finalize
Ex wants to finalize chid custody temporary orders after I agree for my husband not to be present every time he pick up and drop off my daughter. Do I have to agree to this? I don't want to agree to this and my lawyer is saying that if I don't agree we have to have a hearing. Do I need a lawyer to represent me during this hearing?

Whenever the parties cannot agree, then there has to be a hearing, for the judge to decide.
You have the right to represent yourself. But since you do not know how, it is not a good idea.
Re: Child Custody / Finalize
you don't need a lawyer if you know how to represent yourself. You will have to show a good reason why your X has to be there and he would have to show a good reason why he can't be there. Just because you don't like his mother or new girl friend is not a good reason. If he has to work that is a good reason.
