Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Custody

Good thursday morning to you i would like to take this time to as two important questions. The first question is i found out yesterday that my girlfriend's stepmother adopted my little girl and me and my girlfriend have joint custody can she legally do that. And my second question is how do we find out if our rights were taken.

You really need to find a family law attorney and go talk to him or her. This is not the place to try answer this type of questions.

Ms. Bushman is right. You need a lawyer immediately.

If there was an adoption, then first your rights and your girlfriend's rights were terminated.

You need a lawyer to find out if the termination was legal (i.e. what steps, if any, were taken to notify you of the lawsuit). Cases have deadlines, and you need to move quickly. Good luck.
