Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Custody

I was given custody of my granddaughter when she was 11 months old and her mother/father signed papers. The papers also said they must be supervised when visiting. Today my granddaughter is 5 and my daughter is doing very well. Am I able to make the judgment call whether the visitation is supervised or unsupervised at this time without getting in trouble or risking any problems? Thank you.

Re: Child Custody

One of the reasons for Court Orders is to prevent judgment calls. You do not want to start violating the Order. If your daughter is doing that well she should petition the Court to change the Order.
