Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Child custody
My husband only has joint custody of his dtr and we had an issure arrise yesterday involving abandonment and drugs. Is there a way he can file an emergency restraining order or temp custody until we can go to court. We currently have her with us. But her mother is looking for her.

Just to amplify Ms. Langford's answer (because she is very correct in what she say), remember, you need to have some evidence to get a TRO. Spend time with your lawyer and make sure you get it right.
