Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child custody

I have joint custody(not the primary) of my daughter. I enrolled in college this year and started in jan. My ex called and told me to pick up my daughter the day before school started even though i had her for 2 months ending the week before. She has yet to explain why. but i have had to enroll her in daycare to attend college, which is putting me in a negitve balance. Can I reverse the orders in place without hiring a lawyer because she has left my daughter with me for so long? It would help me in receiving help from the state.

Re: Child custody

You ask if you can do this without a lawyer. You can always represent yourself, you are never required to hire a lawyer. The issue becomes do you know what you are doing, and what will be the consequences of doing it yourself. There are attorneys that will work with you on a payment plan. You can contact the State Bar for references to low-cost or free legal assistance to see if you qualify. Good luck.
