Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Child custody
My ex has a month of visitation with our 10 year old daughter in the summer. I am the custodial parent. He is an over the road truck driver and gone for weeks, but he plans to place her in the complete care of his new wife for 3 weeks of the summer while he is on the road. Is he allowed to do so and be out of state with our daughter not having either parent there?

Re: Child custody
Normally, you get to decide where and with who your daughter stays while you have possession and he gets to decide while he has possession.
Have you tried to politely and calmly talk to him about the stress to your daughter of staying alone with someone she really doesn't know for such a long time and see if possibly he would be willing to take his summer possession is 2 or 3 parts instead of all at once?
Re: Child custody
You should read your divorce decree,or contact your attorney, but assuming he has standard possession, then he is allowed to take his duaghter for thirty-two days during the summer, even while he is working, and if he lives more than 100 miles from you then he is allowed 42 days of possession during the summer.
