Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
child custody
what are some reasons for a mother to loose custody of her children? My wife's ex husband has 2 DWI convictions and a failed urinalisis test for cocaine. I am in the military, my wife is a teacher with a masters of education, what are the chances of him getting full custody?

Re: child custody
I highly recommend that you sit down with an attorney to discuss your options.
You will need a certified copy of the current court order that the Judge signed.
To change custody the Judge will try to determine "the best interests of the child(ren)". That term means something different to each Judge.
All of these no-no's (DWI and failing urine test) must have happened after the date the last court order was signed.
If any of this occurred BEFORE the date the judge signed the last court order, it cannot be brought up again.
