Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child custody

I was in a same sex relationship and it was over in dec of 2007. we adopted two kids which are living with me. the ex did take the oldest out of school and move him to san antonio for a short time but brought him back because she could not deal with everything it takes to raise a child. i have not recieved any support since she left. i am going to go through the attory generals office to see about child support for the boys from her but i am afraid she will come and get the oldest out of school again and take him without me knowing like before.she has not even spend time with the boys since she left and says she wont take them but she also said she would help with them and i dont trust her at all and what she may do once she finds out i have gone to the attory generals for child support. thank you for hearing my concern and i hope to hear from you soon. thank you again.

Re: child custody

You are taking risks with these kids. You need to hire a lawyer and file a Suit Affecting Parent-Child Relationship, which will establish conservatorship, visitation, and support. It isn't fair to the kids to have this tension of never knowing if something is going to happen. The Attorney General's Office is not a real solution to this problem.
