Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Child custody
My son is having behavioral problems at his mothers and at his school. We have enough evidence to go to court and get primary custody. This is very costly and while we are trying to find the money we want to put him in counseling. We have him visiting one at school, but he tells her everything is fine because he found out she tells his mom everything he says and he is scared of getting in trouble. We are now going to take him elsewhere for private counseling. Do we have to inform his mother, who has joint custody, that he is seeing another counselor? How do we ensure him that what he says is confidential and keep him from being afraid to talk about being unhappy at his mom's home?

Re: Child custody
This is a counseling question, not a legal question.
