Child Custody

My son is unmarried and has been raising his son by himself. The childs mother has moved to california and we want to get full custody so that she cannot come back later and try to take the child. What can we do.

Re: Child Custody

Truthfully there isn't really any good way to do that. Possession, custody, and support are always subject to modification until the child ages out of the Court's jurisdiction. If there isn't already a Court Order establishing the child's paternity and making your son the primary conservator, he needs to talk to a good family law attorney and get that done NOW. A good attorney can also give you some ideas of things to do and keep track of that will help your son's case in any future custody fights.
