Child Custody

In the state of Texas, is it illegal for one parent move the children out of state? What if there is no court order?

Re: Child Custody

If there is no court order, a parent is free to move the children to another location.

If the move is against the wishes of the other parent, the other parent may file a divorce or SAPCR and ask the court to order the return of the children.

I suggest you consult with a lawyer concerning the facts of your case.
