Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Custody

I need to know how old a child needs to be in Texas in order to decide where they want to live. I am getting conflicting information. Some have told me 10 and others have told me 12.

At this time, it is 10. On September 1, it's going back up to 12. By the way, the child does not have an absolute right to pick. In the end, the judge decides, and the judge can decide against what the child wants.
