Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child custody in Texas ..

My ex wife gave me custody of our 2 children when she had an affair and I filed for divorce. It took her several months but I think she decided she did the wrong thing and has told me she will take me back to court and wants the kids. I think she is really doing this because she does not like paying child support. Our divorce has only been final about 2 months. How often can she try and take me back for custody, the first year and even after that? Does she have to have a reason to try for custody? Yes I have joint custody. I have joint custody and i'm appointed primary custodian of the children.

Technically, one of the parties has to have had a significant change in circumstance or the circumstances of the children have to have changed to go back this soon. That never stopped anybody from filing. Be sure you have an attorney.
