Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child custody in texas

My ex wife gave me custody of our 2 children when she had an affair and I filed for divorce. It took her several months but I think she decided she did the wrong thing and has told me she will take me back to court and wants the kids. I think she is really doing this because she does not like paying child support. Our divorce has only been final about 2 months. How often can she try and take me back for custody, the first year and even after that? Does she have to have a reason to try for custody?

Re: child custody in texas

When you say gave you custody, are you the sole custodian of the children? Is she a possessor of the children? What does your decree say? Do you have an attorney?
