Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child custody/visitation

My son is 24, in prison. He has a 4 yr old girl that he has not seen in 2 years. Her mother is with a controlling boy, raised by his controlling grandma. They have money, which is security to the mom. These people are trying to take away his rights, which he has no intention of doing.I have pd 210.00 for 19 mo. thru my atty(nothing was ever set up in court)for support, but her atty advises her not to cash. It is hard with him not being here, but DOES MY SON HAVE ANY RIGHTS TO SEE HIS DAUGHTER, AT ALL? We have been trying for grndprts. rights, but to no avail.

Re: child custody/visitation

Your son does have some rights but his being in prison does not help his case. You have an attorney, when you have questions like this he or she is the one you should talk to. He or she is the one who has all the details of the matter.
