Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child in foster care

My baby of 3 was put in foster care by his father (we were not married).

I had a drinking problem and went for help for 6 weeks on my own accord. Since then the father is trying everything to make trouble for me, asking my neighbours to spy on me, telling me I can only see my baby once every two weeks for 3 hours. This is horrible. This is my child, please help me. I dont know what rights I have for the welfare officer in charge of the case he phones all the time and makes my life hell. I love my baby and we miss each other dearly. Please help me...

Re: child in foster care

Your behaviour endangered the life of this child. You will have to a a long=term continuous pattern of improved behaviour before you will have any chance of changing the legal relationship with the child. This will take a long time to correct. Good Luck.
