Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child graduating from HS

We are paying child support for my stepson who is 18 and graduates on 5/25/07. It is a registry only case (whatever that is). How do we stop the support after he graduates? Will it be very expensive?

Re: Child graduating from HS

I presume from your question that your employer is withholding your child support. If so, most will stop once you produce a copy of the decree, a copy of his graduation certificate, and a copy of his birth certificate. If they won't then file a motion with the court to terminate withholding. It is not expensive.
