child guardianship
my daughter ran off. left me with her two children. my sister is taking care of the youngest child. sisteris requesting papers be signed for medical purposes.more than medical is metioned on papers.can legal papers be drawn up only for medical with time limit installed.

Re: child guardianship
A true guardianship can be established only by a court, not by mutual agreement between the parties.
A Power of Attorney from Mom will sometimes work, and it should spell out specific duties/responsibilities concerning the child, and may be limited in time.
