Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child medical problem

I have 50% joint custody and equal rights to everything on my 10 year old son. His mother has asked the school nurse to start giving him Adderol for possible ADHD. Today the Paramedics were called do to his difficulty in breathing and very high blood pressure. As they were deciding on taking him to emergency I asked the nurse to tell me what dosage she gave him that morning. She refused to tell me and said to ask his mother. Does she have any right to tell me this?

Re: Child medical problem

You need to read a certified copy of your Final Decree of Divorce (or the last ruling the court made in the case.)

Hopefully the rights and duties section of the Decree state that you have the right to consult with all physicians about your child's medication and health.

Hopefully, it also states that you have the right to get information from the school.

Good luck!
