Child Names Changes

Per my divorce papers in CA, I have Sole Legal and Physical custody of my two children...ages 15 & 14. They both want their last name changed to my maiden name. Do I have to get permission from the bio father when I have Sole Legal custody of them? Also, they have no relationship with him.

You still have to have his permission to change the name of a minor child.
