A child was put up for a adoption at her birth. The birth mother stuck around, and the birthfather kept his distance. 14 years later, the girl meets her birthfather. He wants to adopt her, and the girl want him to, but the parents wont let him. What can the birthfather do in order to re adopt the child?

The answer to this question depends on whether the birthfather gave up his parental rights. If he did, he is stuck with the consequences of his action. If not, then he might be able to claim that the adoption was void or voidable. Birthfather needs to see an adoption attorney to review his options

The easiest thing would be to wait until the child turns 18.

Once a person is over the age of 18, adoption is easy and inexpensive.
